Selected as Finalist at 4th Youth Entrepreneur Competition

Passion Factory was selected as a finalist at the 4th Youth Entrepreneur Competition, earning an investment opportunity of up to 50 million KRW.

Competition Overview

The 4th Youth Entrepreneur Competition, organized by Money Today and hosted by the Entrepreneurship Foundation with co-hosting by Dotname Korea and CNT Tech, was held on September 1, 2014, at the KT Dream Enter Conference Hall in Gwanghwamun, Seoul.

Award Results

13 teams participated in the final judging on this day, and after fierce competition, Onnuri DMC and Passion Factory were selected as co-winners.

Smart News

Passion Factory won the final award by developing 'Smart News', a user-personalized news curation service.

Junghoon Lee, CEO of Passion Factory, said, "When we were first selected for the Money Today preliminary round, we only had an idea. After the first selection, it motivated us to develop, and after the second selection, it motivated us to develop more and we have progressed." He added, "Now that we've become finalists, we will focus even more on development."

Future Plans

Money Today and the Entrepreneurship Foundation plan to send up to 6 teams from the final round to overseas demo days in Silicon Valley, USA, and Japan this year, separately from the finalist selection results, to hold investment presentations for overseas angel investors and venture capitalists.
